This series is based on the beautiful song “Promise is a Pendulum” by Big Thief. I fell in love with the beautiful lyrics which explored failed relationships, longing, and building back the pieces. I encourage you to follow the link provided to listen to it in its entirety.

“Listening to the Echo, Telling Me to Let Go”: Coming to terms with rifts and barriers we’ve built against each other, taking responsibility for miscommunications and transgressions and healing wounds. In the imagery, the obvious rift between the two figures represents this, the two cities opposing minds. The flowers are the fruits of forgiveness and new life in the relationship.
